Our workshop is designed and equipped with bookcase production in mind. We have the space and tools to design and build as large or small as you need, and the experience to produce bookcases that are not only gorgeous, but are functional additions to any space in your home. We can do free-standing bookcases as well, which can be moved and situated to various locations, or uses.
Per the norm, our bookcases are 12-14" deep and the faces are commonly hardwoods as well, like poplar, cherry, or oak, depending on what you would like. We also incorporate cabinet-grade plywood into many of our designs, which can also be matched to the face wood. Since bookshelves are often essential components of offices, studies, and work spaces, we guarantee our pieces will be strong, sturdy and able to meet the demands and rigors of your lifestyle. We know that you need furniture that looks good and lasts forever, let us build it right!
Whether your need is for a shelf mantel or surround style, we can build it for you. We will come to your house, measure for exact fit, and design around your space, regardless of how big or small the area. We can build into or around existing bookshelves or stone work, and can design with your interior design in mind, whether that be surrounding artwork, or furniture. We can also match any wood type, trim, finish, or paint color. We also often work with stone, and would be happy to incorporate stone or bricks into your piece. You show us the space, and we'll make it beautiful!
Cut and fit together in Pascucci Woodwork and Design's own woodshop, we take your design and carefully assemble and assure proper fit prior to installation. Most often, we use hardwoods like poplar, which insure a solid, long-lasting, beautiful result. We do not use veneers over plywood, or any type of cheap material, and the end-product will likely outlast most commercial pieces of furniture. We also use screws as opposed to nails, for durabilities sake, and depending on the design, we use beechwood biscuit joints to strengthen corners and joints. We can match the hardware to surrounding fixtures in your home, as well as finish, trim, baseboard, or paint color. Feel free to ask for specific or creative designs, you never know what we can come up with!
